Two strips of fiberglass tape will provide enough grip on almost any roller material to prevent slippage, even perpendicular machines with a small contact point.
The color of a roller doesn’t matter. Our bat rolling machine looks great and functions even better, we don’t need pretty colors.
We have tested Polyurethane, Polyurethane, nylon and countless other types materials and grades. The Premium grade of nylon we use in our bat rollers is dense enough to provide durability and still has plenty of grip. There is nothing to gain going beyond this point.
We will never try to up-sell our customers into rollers that add absolutely no benefit.
Once you get beyond a certain grade you get nothing out of it except a few hundred dollars less in your bank.

The Truth About Bat Rollers
I was reading a competitor’s website. The person had a funny comparison chart about his competitors bat rollers. It was filled with distortions and misinformation. I understand they are upset, they can no longer get away with over-charging customers. Instead of improving their products and lowering prices they try to trick their potential customers into over-paying. We have been manufacturing products in Florida for almost 30 years and have a spotless reputation. There is a reason our competitors don’t have their phone numbers on their websites like us.
Here are some of their claims:
Comparison number 1
Their claim: Aluminum isn’t strong enough and you should use steel, because most vices are steel.
The Truth: Bat Rolling Machines are not like vices, they are similar to rolling press machines. Our competitors use steel because it is a lot cheaper than Aircraft grade Aluminum. We could make lots of quick cash, welding cheap steel plates together, but we take the extra time to precision machine our plates and absorb the extra cost of hardware, because it’s simply the right thing to do. Our aluminum is 7075 “aircraft grade” and has a ultimate tensile strength of 83,000 PSI. We promise you if it’s strong enough for an airplane it’s strong enough for you.

Their Claim: Needle and flange bearings are cheap and will damage your shafts.
The Truth: We use Torrington bearings, which is one of the best, most trusted brands you can buy. We use 8 bearings in our machine while they only use 6. They use 6 bearings instead of 8 because it’s cheaper, not because it’s more reliable.

Their Claim: We use precision machined rollers and our competitors don’t really specify anything about their rollers.
The Truth: We don’t specify each precision machined part on our machine, because the “ENTIRE” bat roller including the rollers are precision machined. Oh, and by the way the Nylon material we use in our roller is also more expensive and a higher-grade too.
The Truth they don’t tell you:
- We use a full 1″ shaft, while they use 3/4″
- We use 8 bearings and they use 6, or in some cases none
- We use more expensive Nylon rollers
- We use more expensive aluminum plates
- We use more expensive hardware
- We precision machine everything
